Product Description
The Lake Country SDO Orange Light Polishing Pad helps you remove light to medium imperfections in the paint safely and easily! Often times you just need a one-step polish to remove moderate imperfections, but it must be paired with the pad to finish down great. Pair the SDO Orange Light Polishing Pad with virtually any light to medium polish for great results. The SDO line of pads are similar to the HDO pads, but without the dual layer construction. HDO pads have a strong, dense foam packing that the regular corrective foam is mounted to. Lake Country removed that denser backing making them thinner and more versatile in terms of polisher usage. This high-quality foam is beveled at a 70-degree angle, which helps keep the pad flat on the surface and avoid rolling. This reduced movement helps reduce heat that can cause hazing and micro-marring while polishing. On top of the reduced movement, the open cell cooling chamber in the center of the pad keeps the pad running at cooler temps, increasing durability and polishing results. The backing of these pads will also withstand the large throw of the Rupes, Griot's Boss and other high powered large throw machines, along with regular dual action units. This pad comes in three great sizes and the 3.5" pads are perfect for 3" backing plates, 5.5" pads fit on 5" backing plates and the 6.5" pads fit great on 6" backing plates. I purchased these orange sdo pads for my maxshine M15 pro and griots G8 in 1-5 inch sizes, great pad overall and i have put them through a good amount of abuse, cut is decent, slightly more cut than the meguiars yellow foam polishing disc and rupes yellow foam, yet it finishes out just fine on my 18 honda accord sport with paint on the softer side, so far i have only used 3d one, 3d speed, and meguiars m66 quick detailer with them and they pair well with this orange foam pad, great for one step style enhancements/corrections, i have also experimented for rotary use and they work just fine with my maxshine M1000 rotary. If you are only an enthusiast that polishes your own vehicles and some others here and there, this pad will do just fine, i recommend them!
Industry standard pad for light polishing. Lake Country makes awesome pads of very high quality. Always works nicely for me to use with light polishing compound to get out those unwanted swirls. The pads always work great. It's your technique and polish that will yield you the results you want. Highly recommend!
Good pad, finishes down very well. Good value and features for the price. I like the center hole, keeps the pad cool
